- Flexible stays
- Standard check-in is from 12:00 noon and check-out by 11:00 AM, but timings are flexible to suit your plans. We also offer hourly stays — 3, 6, 9 or 12 hours — for a short rest between trains or before Girivalam.
- Full-moon nights
- On Pournami and during festival weeks the town fills up and rooms go quickly. Send your dates early.
- Walking Girivalam
- The path around the hill is about 14 km. Many people start before sunrise or after dark, often barefoot.
- Getting here
- Tiruvannamalai has its own railway station and is connected by road to Chennai, Bengaluru and Puducherry.

I recently stayed at SA Residency in Thiruvannamalai and had a fantastic experience. The rooms are exceptionally neat and tidy, with clean bathrooms and great amenities. The property is located very close to the Raja Gopuram, making it super easy to visit the temple and find food options nearby. The hospitality was warm and welcoming. Highly recommended for a peaceful and pleasant stay.
We searched for best hotels near Thiruvannamalai temple and booked this SA residency. Staffs are very calm, polite and helping in nature. We got dropped at the bus stand at 5:30am and they agreed for early check-in and helped with late checkout for a minimum amount. The hotel SA residency is very good with beautiful rooms at affordable prices and flexible check-in and checkout times. The receptionist and the service people at the desk are very well behaved and mannered. I personally would come back only here if I were ever in the town again, and would definitely recommend the same to others.
The hotel is just 300 metres away from the temple. Staff is very friendly, rooms were very clean, budget friendly! Totally worth it!
All are good and the maid also too good and helpful. Rooms and washrooms are cleaned fresh. Everything is good and it's worth it for what we are paying.
3rd floor room is good as you can see the whole Arunachaleshwar hill. Market is nearby and the east Raja Gopuram is nearby. You can start your temple journey from the Raja Gopuram.

Cancellation policy
